Fighting to the Fives

Five for Fighting, that is -as in singer/song writer John Ondrasik and his newest CD, Slice.
I must admit, I knew very little about Five for Fighting, other than the fact that I knew, liked, and recognized the song- 100 Years.
I would like to honestly say that I just adored this CD. However, I can’t.
Having said that…I feel as though John Ondrasik is very talented. His voice is clear and distinct. His lyrics clean (literally-G rated) and pure, telling a great story. For this I can’t have anything but respect for Ondrasik, as an artist. Such good things are hard to come by this day and age.
Because of the clean and honest nature of the music and lyrics, I would recommend this CD to everyone. If you are already a fan, this CD is a MUST have. Do I intend on building upon my personal collection of Five for Fighting? Not at this time. This CD has me content -for now. I am going to keep the music in my collection, however. Offering it equal play, among some of my favorites. You never know when that one song will strike a chord and the tides will change.
But you don’t need to take my word for it. Click over to the official Five for Fighting website and take a listen. You might just find that my opinions are far from yours. For that matter, I hope you do.

Happy VGNO! :)
I have only vaguely heard of Five for Fighting. I'll have to check it out.
I love a few of their songs but have to agree with you. My husband bought me their CD and I wasn't as blown away as I thought I might be. For me, I find a little goes a long way, however, I can totally understand why people love them.
I LOVE your honesty. :)
I did hear the latest release off of this album and I liked it. I thought it was really pretty. Maybe I'll just have to look into the whole album now.
