Me and You, You and Me

>> Friday, October 30, 2009

In this day and age, it seems as if most everyone is keeping a journal. Literally. We just like to call them blogs. While those that are not journaling, are working on their genealogy. Some are doing both, plus more.

I personally, do both. I tend to journal more, and genealogy less. But I digress.

I have found something that brings both passions together in a most fascinating way. That being, Between Me and You Journals.

Each journal contains several questions (each journal themed: Mother, Grandma, Brother, Sister…etc. etc.). The intent is that the recipient will answer the questions, by writing in the journal, and returning it to the giver (example question: What are some of your favorite memories of your mother?).

What I wouldn’t give to have these journals to keep the memories alive –not only my own, but my parents and children as well. In fact, I think I might just pick me up a few. I am specifically interested in the Honey Journal -meant to be passed between husband and wife. What a great treasure this could be for my boys, once they are grown.

The best part? If you click over and find something you like, they are offering $1.00off each journal purchased. All you have to is enter coupon code EAGLES in the comment box, when you place your order. Considering the fact that these journals are reasonably prices already, that $1.00 discount just sweetens the deal.

Do me a favor, click over, see what you can find. If you purchase one, I would like to hear about it -find out how you like it.

Reminder: Place coupon code EAGLES in the COMMENT BOX, at the time you place your order (Easy as that).

Because I know they are watching…

Sand Dune Publishing LLC, Word of Mouth Program. For each customer that uses my coupon code, I receive a 10% commission –once a month. The above expressed opinions are mind and only mine, and should be considered as such.

I have a travel journal that goes from my 7-year-old niece, me, and my sister. It's a lot of fun.

I remember when I was in school, my friend and I would do something similar.
We had this journal, and we had 3 or so classes together. During each class we'd write a question in the journal, and then pass it to the other one. I wish I could find that journal now...

That is so cool! Genealogy is wonderful, my mom has a copy of the register entry for my Great Grandparents, Grandma and her siblings into Ellis Island.

I've been wishing for these for a while. I'd love to do this with my daughter!

What a good idea. I used to nanny a teen and her and her mother would pass a journal back and forth. It was so sweet.
