Scarecrow Finds a Friend
Author: Blume J. Rifken
Illustrations: Carl J. Wenzel

In this fun and festive childrens book, Scarecrow finds a friend in a young witch, by the name of Tally. After losing her flying powers, the two of them work together, coming up with a plan to get Tally her ability to fly back.

They say, to never judge a book by its cover. However, the mere sight of this book, I was sure it would become a favorite it my home. My instincts proven right, as Mo-Tay and I settled in to read about Scarecrow!

My Mo-tay tends to be a patient child, but even he can tire of a book that wanders without story and is lengthy. Scarecrow however, kept his attention as well as my own. By the third or fourth page, Mo-tay was calling the characters by name and was intrigued by what they were doing.

As a mother, I was truly impressed by it's simple yet powerful message about having a friend, that truly cares about you. In addition to the sweet story, the illustrations are fun, colorful and really added to the nature of the story. But you don't have to take my word for it (sound like Reading Rainbow, yeah?)

Being a recently published book, penned by a new author, I was not able to find this must have book at my local library. I was however, able to locate it through my local Barnes and Noble as well as Amazon.com

Thanks to Author Marketing Experts, for providing my boys and I with this Fantastic book, for our review. We were provided the book, to keep, free of charge in exchange for an honest review. No other compensation was received (unless you count the hugs and bonding we did as Mother and Sons -which is priceless). The above opinions are my own and should be regarded as such.
